The season-long battle to find the winners of the 3rd Junior Order of Merit "The Race to Grand Final" is beginning to pick up speed as the Junior Opens start to come along thick and fast. The competition managed by the Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership will use the results from 11 junior opens hosted by clubs across the county to form two Order of Merit tables, a scratch and a nett table. From these tables the top 12 boys and top 6 girls in each table will contest the Championship Final which will be held at Northants County in the October half term.

Martin Izzard - BEM

Northamptonshire Golf Partnership Chairman, Martin Izzard, a man with a passion for golf and growing the game was presented with the British Empire Medal (BEM) yesterday in Northampton.

On Tuesday 5th August 2014 Priors Hall Golf Club will be hosting their Junior Open.
It is open to boys and girls who were under 18 years of age on 1st January 2014.

Moulton College are holding a Golf Academy Open Day on Wednesday 9th April 2014.

For 2014 the Northamptonshire Golf Partnership are pleased to announce that it will again be running it's Junior Order of Merit. This year thirteen Junior Opens will contribute towards "The Race to the Order of Merit Grand Final 2014".

England Golf, along with the other Home Unions is pleased to announce its support for a major new initiative to get more people playing more often, more people returning back to golf and ultimately attracting more golf club members to your facility.

National Golf Month (NGM) will take place in May 2014 and is being launched early next year. It is an initiative driven by the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) and Bauer Media and is supported by many of the major golfing associations and companies in Britain.

SPC Workshop

The Northamptonshire Golf Partnership are running a Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Golf workshop at Kettering Golf Club, Headlands, Kettering, NN15 6XA on Tuesday 18th March 2014. The workshop will be running from 2pm to 5pm and it is being delivered by Sharon Heeley from England Golf.



In August 2013 Peterborough Milton Golf Club was shocked and saddened by the loss of Junior Captain JAMES BERRY in a motorcycle accident. This was especially tragic as James’ parents have for many years managed Bar and Catering and he himself worked at the club.
