For 2013 an exciting new Junior Golf Tour has been launched with the aim to give young golfers especially those aged under 14 the opportunity to play competitive golf. The difference with this tour is that all competitions are to be played on par 3 courses. This will be very beneficial for younger golfers and those without a handicap as it can be very daunting playing on a full size golf course to begin with.

For 2013 the Northamptonshire Golf Partnership will again be running a Junior Order of Merit. This year twelve Junior Opens will contribute towards "The Race to the Grand Final 2013".

On Tuesday the 8th October 2013 the Northamptonshire Golf Partnership will be holding it's annual County golf club forum. The forum will take place at Northampton GC and as in previous years we would like each of the Counties golf clubs to send two representatives to the event.

British Heart Foundation - Junior Golf Championships 2013 - Staverton Park GC

The British Heart Foundation have launched details of their 2013 Junior Golf Championship. The idea of the event is to give Juniors a chance to play competitive golf while at the same time raising funds for the charity. Included within the websites download library section you will find a Promotional Booklet explaining how the Championship works. This also includes information on booking onto the event. It is open to golfers aged 11-18 with the competition being played at Staverton Park GC on Tuesday 28th May 2013.

Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Golf - Workshop

The Northamptonshire Golf Partnership are running a Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Golf workshop at Overstone Park Golf Club, Billing Lane, Overstone, Northampton NN6 OAS (Sat. Nav – NN6 OSR) on Thursday 21st March 2013. The workshop will be running from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and it is being delivered by Sharon Heeley from England Golf

Midlands Golf Week

For 2013 The Northamptonshire Golf Partnership will be taking part in Midlands Golf Week. The event is to run from 12th April to 21st April and will involve six counties from the Midlands. Please visit our events section, of the website, for a list of activities taking place at clubs across the county. The aim of the week is for the counties golf clubs to run a series of events giving non golfers an introduction to the game and existing golfers reasond to play to more often and the merits of taking out club memberships.
