The Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership aims to:
Increase the number of golfers in the County by providing a route for all players to start, stay and succeed in the game of golf.
Enable them to enjoy the game of golf, reach their potential and assist their progression to becoming members of golf clubs and achieve a lifetimes enjoyment in the game.

Academy Coach Scheme
This year the District Coaching funded by the NGP has been replaced by a county wide programme of Academy Coaching Centres. The NGP have accessed funding and have become the second county in the country to become part of the new National Training Initiative(Club and Coach). This has allowed additional professionals to be appointed around the county. This season sees 13 coaches working with over 100 children in the 9 to 15 age range. There will be monthly coaching sessions; the coaches will be working on individual technique, the various skill sets of the long and short game, course management amd strategy and an introduction into physical and mental preparation for playing golf. The coaches will work closely with the players personal coach if one exists.

Northamptonshire Junior Order of Merit

This summer you are invited to be part of the’ Junior ‘Order of Merit Championships’. The event will be run over the summer and close in the October half term holiday. All you have to do is enter the Junior Competitions listed below. Points will be allocated to the top 20 players in both the nett and gross competitions. To qualify you will need to have played in a minimum of four events of the six events over the season. For counting your best 5 positions will be used, so play in all six and maximise your chances.

The Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership would like to congratulate Meghan Maclaren (Picture above) on her success on becoming Junior County Champion.
Meghan is having a very successful year as she was also the runner up in the Midlands County Championship and last week became the winner of the English Schools U18 championships.
She is also to be the Captain of the English Schools Girls team versus Scotland and Wales later in the summer.
Meghan who is 16 and already a member of the successful Ladies County team stated that her successes can be attributed to the hard work she has put into her game and also her involvement with County Coaching Schemes that are supported by the Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership.
